What’s the Goal of the course?
Learn how to create commercial pattern designs for the fashion, interior and stationery industry. At the end of the course you will know the technical requirements, applications in Adobe Photoshop and how to profile yourself as a freelancer. You have also produced a number of salable designs.

• Retouching images or hand-drawn illustrations (including watercolor) for your all over print / all over pattern
• Free-standing images or hand-drawn illustrations (including watercolor) for your all over print / all over pattern
• Adjusting images or hand-drawn illustrations (including watercolor) for your prints, e.g. adjusting color.
• Working with filters
• Making a basic repeated print / pattern for different industries such as: interior, stationery and fashion.
• Creating a varied repeated print/pattern
• Creating 2 different types of photographic allover prints / patterns
• Adding textures
• Painting motifs in Photoshop
• Making an allover print/ pattern with a graphic composition
• Working with vectors in Photoshop
• Reducing and separating colors for screen printing
• Mock up for flat surfaces and pleated surfaces
• Combining Photoshop with Illustrator
• Submitting files to your client
• You learn about industrial textile techniques and what to take into account when developing a print / pattern
• Working for an agent vs. own acquisition
• Extra teaching material: working with Photoshop on the iPad

During the course you will learn to fully master the functionality of Photoshop. The teaching material starts with the basics.

During the course you will discover the profession of print designer / surface pattern designer .
You will learn how to apply the technical requirements for the industry. You learn to make patterns (allover prints) for: fashion, textiles, interior (bedding, wallpaper), stationery.

During the online course you have access to the instructional animations. On the platform you will also find teaching materials in which the functionality of Adobe Illustrator and the making of fashion flats is explained in detail. Download this teaching material for future use. This way you can easily repeat the topics covered during the online course, even after the online course has ended.

At the online platform you will also find assignments. You will receive feedback after submission. After the online training you will receive a certificate as proof of participation (provided the assignments have been completed).

What about Previous Education and Adobe?
